Kay is a Master’s level mental health practitioner pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota. Kay is under the supervision of a Minnesota Marriage and Family Therapy Board approved supervisor. Her clinical interests include marriage and family issues, blended family concerns, women’s issues, self-image, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, divorce recovery, spiritual concerns, and parenting issues.
Kay’s therapy approaches include Adlerian psychology, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR; trauma therapy). Kay is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH counselor and enjoys using this tool in working with premarital couples, married couples, and blended families seeking to strengthen their relationships.
My goal is to offer hope and encouragement in an environment that is caring, respectful, educational, insightful, and promoting of positive change for renewal and healing to individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing difficult life situations or emotional pain.
